Fusion Force Studio Covid 19 Information, Updates & Protocols 

HEATH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS / RETURN TO SPORT PLAN AS OF SEPTEMBER 2020 ***UPDATED NOVEMBER 2020

Fusion Force Studio is dedicated to the health and safety of all students, families and employ- ees and are following all safety measures put in place by our health officials. We understand that these “changes” may be new and/or difficult for some, but we are here to help and we can get through this together.

Understanding Fusion is a second home for many students we want to make you feel as com- fortable as possible while keeping you safe.
On August 24, 2020 a new re-start plan including sports teams was released allowing cohorts. ** COHORTS ARE SUSPENDED AT THIS TIME - ALL STUDENTS MUST PHYSICAL DISTANCE

For the purposes of this document “Sport” is defined as any organized sport activity that in- volves a number of people doing a physical activity together in a structured way and is facili- tated by a Provincial Sport Organization or Local Sport Organization.
Sport and physical activity play an important role in the physical, psychological and emotional well-being of children. For this and other economic and social reasons we are all eager to re- sume sport activities. However, the health and safety of all participants and citizens for British Columbia must remain the number one priority.

  • SIGNS - are posted on front door and throughout facility including physical distance, hy- giene, hand washing and covid symptom checklist

  • TOUCH LESS HYGIENE - Touch-less paper-towel dispenser and touch-less soap dispensers have been installed in both washrooms.

  • NEW OCCUPANCY - New building occupancy of 56 in main building and 30 in studio 04 We have deceased our class sizes
    We ask that all parents and/or siblings remain outside the building unless necessary

  • CLEANING - A thorough cleaning/disinfect will take place each night for the entire facility, office staff and teachers will wipe down “high touch” areas between classes and throughout the day

  • OFFICE MANAGER CLEANS ALL HIGH TOUCH AREAS EACH HOUR THAT THE FACILITY IS OPEN

  • CHANGE ROOM WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR BAG STORAGE OR CONGREGATION - Students are to arrive as dressed and ready as possible, the change room may be used for changing purposes only one at a time or members of the same bubble. Cubbies have been placed in all the studios for students belongings.

  • SANITIZATION AND HAND WASHING - Students and staff are to sanitize their hands before and after each class, each room is equipped with sanitizer.

  • MASKS - Are not mandatory in the studio but are welcomed by anyone choosing to do so. Social Distance is to be maintained by anyone not in the same cohort or bubble. Students are to provide their own gloves/mask/PPE

  • UPDATE - MASKS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IN ALL COMMON AREAS

  • UPDATE - MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED WHILE EXERCISING

  • UPDATE - DISPOSABLE MASKS AND/OR GLOVES AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE IN NEED

  • HEALTH SAFETY CHECK - Each family is responsible for their own health check daily, please

    see attached form at the bottom.

  • UPDATE - ALL EMPLOYEES HAVE AN IN-PERSON HEALTH SCREEN UPON ARRIVAL

  • STUDENT FREE TIME - Students are not to spend their “breaks” or any “extra time” in the

    studio

  • TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AND FLOW - We kindly ask that all students be dropped off out-

    side and on-time, younger students may have one parent accompany them only if necessary. Teachers will use the last 5 minutes of class to stagger excusing the students. Studio 01 and 02 classes will enter through the main door, studio 03 will enter through the emergency exit (grey door) and studio 04 will have their own access. Please practice physical distance while waiting outside for your instructor.

  • KITCHEN IS OFF LIMITS - Please ensure your dancer packs appropriate snacks and lots of

    water for each class.

  • LOBBY IS CLOSED - Lobby space will be used for traffic management and/or students with

    an permission granted break, it will not be an area for watching or loitering

  • OFFICE - is equipped with plexiglass barriers for your safety and the safety of the staff, debit

    machine is disinfected regularly, clean pens and other tools available. Our staff is always here and happy to help but please do not enter the building unless necessary. Please give us a call or email first :) If you need to speak directly to an instructor please consider a phone call, zoom call or schedule a time.

  • STUDIO EQUIPMENT - Teachers and students are to sanitize equipment before and after use including ballet barres, acro mats and yoga blocks, all students recommended to bring their own yoga blocks. Stereo equipment and teacher area is to be wiped down by each staff member when complete.

    COHORTS - UPDATE - SUSPENDED AT THIS TIME - PHYSICAL DISTANCE IS MANDATORY

    As stated in the sports policy cohorts of up to 50 participants can play/exercise without physical distance. We have subdivided to keep that number much lower.

    Cohort - A individual company level including Petite, Mini, Junior, Intermediate, Teen, Senior, Advanced or Elite these classes range in size from 4-14 students. These students will be per- mitted to touch in class and choreography. Instructors may be hands on with students for instructional purposes.

    Recommendation:
    Individuals should limit the number of sport cohorts to which they belong in order to reduce the number of people they are interacting with.

    Parents and spectators are not included in the cohort limits. They should continue to maintain physical distancing at all times and are subject to maximum capacity of the facility where dance is occurring.

    OUTBREAK PLAN

  • Early detection of symptoms will facilitate the immediate implementation of effective control measures. In addition, the early detection and immediate implementation of enhanced cleaning measures are two of the most important factors in limiting the size and length of an out- break. An “outbreak” is two or more cases; a “case” is a single case of COVID-19.

  • Fusion will immediately contact health authorities and follow all protocols put in place at that time.

  • Any students not meeting the health check may participate in classes via Zoom, please con- tact the office to do so admin@fusionforcestudio.com PLEASE CONTACT OFFICE FOR ALL ZOOM CODES AND PASSWORDS

  • If an outbreak occurs an entire cohort may participate on zoom.

 

PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT

All Participants of Fusion Force Studio LTD agree to abide by the following points when entering studio facilities and/or participating in club activities under the COVID-19 Response plan and RTP Protocol:
• I agree to symptom screening checks, and will let my studio know if I have experienced any of the symptoms in the last 14 days.

• I agree to sanitize my hands upon entering and exiting the facility, with soap or sanitizer.
• I agree to sanitize the equipment I use throughout my practice with approved cleaning products provided by the studio.
• I agree to continue to follow social distancing protocols of staying at least 2m away from others.
• I agree to abide by all of my studio’s COVID-19 policies and guidelines.
• I understand that if I do not abide by the aforementioned policies/guidelines, that I may be asked to leave the studio for up to 14 days to help protect myself and others around me.
• I acknowledge that there are risks associated with entering studio facilities and/or participating in dance activities, and that the measures taken by the club and participants, including those set out above and under the COVID-19 Response Plan and Return to Sport Protocols, will not entirely eliminate those risks.
• If you have traveled outside of Canada, you are not permitted at the facility until you have

self-isolated for a minimum of 14 days.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE POLICIES WE ARE FOLLOWING ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE
• We will keep everyone as up to date as possible as we navigate through new territory.
• Our teachers will keep teaching and our dancers will keep dancing using whatever platform is

safest at that time.
